Falmouth Varsity Baseball Defeats Bonny Eagle In Low-Scoring Affair

  • Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Thursday, but Falmouth Varsity Baseballdefeated Bonny Eagle 3-1. Bennett Smith allowed just five hits to Bonny Eagle.
  • Bonny Eagle got things started in the first inning. Faulher's sac fly scored one run for Bonny Eagle.
  • Falmouth Varsity Baseball knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Josh Lefevre drove in one when he singled.
  • Falmouth Varsity Baseball pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Ike Kiely doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Garrett Tracy grounded out, scoring one run.
  • Smith was the winning pitcher for Falmouth Varsity Baseball. He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.
  • Bean took the loss for Bonny Eagle. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one.
  • Kiely went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Falmouth Varsity Baseball in hits.
  • Phinney led Bonny Eagle with two hits in two at bats.
